Saltlick BBQ

Last night I went to dinner with Blakens at the famous Saltlick BBQ joint in Buda, Texas...Classic! It was fantastic! I haven't enjoyed a meal experience like this in a long time. It had all of the rustic hill country acoutremont you might expect including crudely made tables and benches, no AC but rather open windows and fans, and instead of chips or bread to get the meal started there was a bowl of their signature BBQ Sauce. In addition there was a water fountain, peacocks, and a BYOB policy...TOTES BRILL! Although I will say I felt somewhat amature as we were the only people to arrive without an ice chest filled with beer.
As for the food...the sausage was the highlight! Of course all the cuts of meat were delicious. We also tried the pecan pie and black berry cobbler, but the pie was far superior I think.

All in all, this one a fantastic experience! I would recommend everyone in the world to make the journey at some point in their life. It was a delight!
