"Viva la Vida" or "Fete de merde?"

The much anticipated Coldplay album "Viva la Vida" or Long Live Life (for all you Americans) is soon to hit the music shelves world wide. Generally, whenever something carries a lot of hype so often times its release is followed with anticipaters remorse. I however, am lucky enough to have the inside track on the pre-release and I will say in my opinion, it is a delight!

I also have the inside track. Also, known as a bootleg copy. I've been listening to it for the past few days. Many parts of it are moving.

I love Coldplay. I have been to three shows, I have enjoyed them live, recorded, in my dreams and fantasies...basically, I'm a huge fan. I was worried about this album because word on the street has been that the sound is totally different than what we are used to from the Brit Boys. I listened to the whole album yesterday and there are several great tracks. The first single that everyone has heard "Violet Hill" is great, and sounds like them..."Strawberry Swing" not so much...I love it, I love all the new sounds, I love the beats, I love the lyrics (I always love Chris Martins' writing) so I am very pleased with the outcome. In fact, this is my favorite album since their very first - Parachutes. I know, thats a bold statement, but I will stand by it. Definitely NOT a "Fetes du Merde"
