Update: Post Ike Lull

Well, I can't argue that since the Big One of 2008 (Ike) I haven't been quite on my game. But, before you go jumping to conclusions let me say that I haven't had internet. Whomever I steal internet from (2wire010) has yet to return and re-set their system so I am unable to hack in. So, here is what has been going on:

The week after Ike I spent cleaning and aimlessly wandering around town spending money and being irresponsible. I didn't accomplish much, but I did manage to host my very first Nerf War night. It was amazing...filled with giggles and little nerf bullets flying through the house. Of course Sarah was not pleased.

This past weekend I planned to go to Austin to visit Andrew before he deploys for boot camp...he joined the National Guard. The closer I got to Friday the more anxiety I felt about the trip, and finally I decided I just wasn't ready. I still miss him a lot. Anyhoozensteins, I ended up going to gay pride in dallas...which leads me to my next paragraph.

I don't know what I expect going to gay bars. Everytime I go I am bored and ready to leave. I just don't really like the atmosphere and I feel let down almost everytime. Maybe I go into it with to high of expectations. Hoping to leave with my next relationship...and, I'm pretty skeptical about finding anything decent at a bar. Anyways, I just don't enjoy it. I should take a break for a while. A good 6 month sebatical. We'll see...

Gay Pride parades are one of my favorite things. I love the energy and how kind everyone is to each other. It's like everyone is able to set aside drama for one weekend and just be happy. It's lovely. The parade in dallas was a blast!

Now, I am back at home in Houston laying around the house because my school still doesn't have power. I was suppose to go back today but that was changed to tomorrow. So we will just see. I'm sooooo ready to go back!
