So I've been recently hooked on the show "Scrubs" and one of my favorite parts of the show is the relationship between JD and Turk. I love how encouraging and weird and fun they can be and how they are always there for each other! Anyways, JD is moving and changing jobs to be closer to his son and Turk is having another child and has been named the new chief of surgery. Their friendship is changing dramatically!
I guess what it makes me think about are all the male friendships I've had that have completely changed as a result of marriage. My friend Chris got married and moved to England, Sean got married has two kids and lives 45 minutes away but I never see him, Ben married another best friend so I see him plenty....but there is a part of those relationships that died. It's sad to move on especially when you've invested so much. I am so happy for them and am 100% sure they are much happier, but it is sad to think of what life USED to be. The good times we ONCE had. Somedays, like today, I just don't want to grow up!
